We are happy to offer Nevada and Utah concealed carry classes. These classes are open to anyone 21 or older who is eligible to buy and own a firearm, regardless of state of residence, for both US citizens and resident aliens. With both states' permits, you will be able to legally carry your firearm concealed in over 30 states.

Our classes are offered several times each month, usually on alternating weeks on both Thursday mornings and Saturday afternoons. We do the class in two parts, the classroom class taught at Bargain Pawn and the range qualifications, done at a local indoor range. The Thursday class starts at 9:00 AM and is taught by Melinda Parshall, an NRA certified firearms instructor and range master. The Saturday class is taught by Glen Parshall, an NRA certified firearms instructor and range master and starts at 4:00 PM. You only need to attend one classroom session. Rangetime is usually on Saturday mornings once a month. Check with us to see which week the classes are offered during the month and what day the range qualifications will be.

Range qualifications are for you to fire each automatic pistol and/or ONE only revolver for a total of 30 rounds each, ten rounds at 3, 5 and 7 yards. We provide the targets, but ammo and range fees are up to you to cover. We are observing your general gun handling and safety technics as well as your marksmanship. PLEASE practice with your firearms BEFORE you come to the range with us! If you are new to firearms or have a new gun you are firing for the first time, we will spot it and ask you to come back after you have become comfortable with it!.

If you would like your young adult to attend the class with you, we can arrange for it as well. We go over the laws regarding firearms use, gun safety, handgun operation and general information and maintenance. We are happy to welcome your son or daughter in the class with you, for those 17 and older, on a monitor basis. This has proven to be very helpful to those with not quite old enough to get a handgun young people, to get them started in a safe manner.

If you have a group of 8 or more, we can offer special group classes at either our shop or another location. We can also offer personal classes as time permits, for an extra charge. Contact us to discuss these options with you.

Our class costs only $60, MUCH cheaper than most classes in town, and we have expanded the course material to give you a much broader understanding of firearms and the use of them than the state of Nevada or Utah requires. We feel that those that are better informed are more ready to begin carrying a personal protection firearm and better able to take responsibility for their own personal safety. We provide all the applications, we just need your smiling face, ready mind and any drinks or munchies you might like to consume during the class.

The Nevada CCW permit has an application fee of $100.25 and the Utah CCW permit has an application fee of $65.25. The Nevada permit must be turned in in person. We can sign off all non-Nevada residents as well as those living in Clark and Nye county. Utah CCW permits can be turned in in person OR mailed in. We can qualify residents of any state for the Utah permit. .
